I love scrap quilts. To celebrate the new millenium, I made a scrap quilt using 2000 different fabrics. All the colors work and everyone loves it. I sent a picture to the magazine Traditional Quiltworks and they included it on the Reader's Mailbox page. Don't have a digital camera, but when my daughter returns from vacation I'll borrow hers and post a picture. Didn't mean to sound like I'm tooting my own horn, just wanted to emphasize that "the more the merrier" does work.

When I do a scrap quilt, I have all of my scraps cut in 5 1/2" squares (you can use any size you want). When I want to sew them together I just grab another one. What ever I grab goes on next. These are the first ones I learned how to make. They are very old fashioned looking and go together very quickly. My sister cuts hers in strips and does the same thing.
