Great job! One thing that really makes for a great scrap quilt is some colors that ties it all together and you did it with the red centers, the teal strips and the light colored backgrounds contrasting so well with the darker strips. Love it. Goes to show you, contrast does the work and color gets the credit!

I belong to a group that does a block exchange every 3 months. I am always looking for a new way to use up scraps. The fact that I love the quilts that result is just a wonderful bonus.

Thanks butterjoy for that question. Wanted to ask it myself, and watterside for the picture. That looks beautiful. Also thanks to BellaBoo for the recommendation.

...... and it all came together beautifully. I love this quilt. I have a TON of 2" squares in a plastic shoe box and was wondering what I'd ever do with them. Well here is my answer!

Scrappy quilts are the best thing to bring the stash back into control. It seems any and all fabrics, no matter how "ugly" will always turn out colorful and cute.
My current project is to use up most of my stash making scrappy nap (55"-60" x 75"-80") size quilts for donating to the Vets thru the BPOE (Elks). The one thing I do need to occasionally purchase is more background lights because I have only a small stash of those.

I am looking for a "scrappy" blended 9 patch. An area quilt guild, Bay Area Quilt Guild in Pearland, TX. recently used it in their scrap bee, but I cannot get my hands on the pattern.

I hope it is not inappropriate to ask if anyone has this pattern.

I love a scrap quilt! the more fabrics the better! a few great patterns for scraps are ( in my opinion) log cabin, nine patch, broken dishes, four patch, pine apple , irish chain, any kind of a sampler, school house, square in square, strippy..... I could go on...
