Thank goodness I don't have to redo my centre.
Although, then I could have used the octopus.

Thanks Lindyline. The Rules are at the beginning of this thread if anyone wants a quick check.

Thank you Butterflyspain, I had promptly gone and re read the rules and still didn't see where it said "it had to be" then when I got up this morning all is well and sorted. Seems I wasn't missunderstanding after all, myself. Much better to pick these things up in the very beginning (even if we don't like it) then later down the track.
Thanks again,

Maybe1day :D

Your welcome, good idea is to print out the dates for sending you quilts on and stick it on the wall somewhere, because I know from experience you just kinda forget when they should go out.

Like your - sometimes life gets in the way quote :D

I thought life always got in the way! least it does down here, particularly when I don't want it too. Just had to sit there last night and reverse sew my centre piece as when I went to square it up discovered it was 1/2" short. Darn thing!
My new machine had a hissy fit last week when I was halfway through sewing it together so while that is in the shop I changed over to my old machine. No problem one would think but there was, the feet are different so in the end the seems were too.
Darn it darn it darn it!

Maybe1day :(

I would like to join, but I'm between a learner & intermediate quilter. Question: When I make my center & send it off to someone else to add to it, how do I get my center back? Is it a whole quilt? I'm not sure about the part of getting my block back.
If I understand this correctly, I make a 12" center block of my choice of pattern & colors.
Then ship it to the next person.
Question: How will I get my original block back?
I don't mind putting a border on it, but I will have to mail it out to someone else, so how will I get my own block center back & I assume, completed quilt top ready to baste, bind, & quilt.
What is the time limit from the time I get it to to have to mail it out?
Sorry, but can someone explain this again to me?

In the absence of anyone to tell you how this works, here goes.
Normally there are 6 people in a group in an IRR. Each person makes a centre block and sends it to the next person to put a border on, it then gets sent on to the next and so forth. Meanwhile you are receiving blocks from the other people and eventually you get your own block back, Makes sense ?

However you will have to wait to see if there are any more places left in this IRR, its not up to me.

I'm having a senior month. I went to the rules and can't find them, again. When will we know what group we will be part of? When are the center's due?

I'm serious about the senior months. Have had two deaths of immediate family member this year and I'm just now starting to function.

Thanks everyone for your help.
