the finished size is 16" front to back and 20" side to side. i found the piece of wood at lowes and i think it measured 16" by 42", or maybe it was 36" long? it was paintable grade or something like that (really smooth with a minimal amount of knots). then the guy just cut it in half.

When in the table...it absol. is great. Skeat

Barb
I'm confused. Where do I find the post for Barb's quilting patterns?

Barb
I found it. Just took a little searching. I plan on making one. My uncle
can cut it for me. Thanks for the great idea.

Your welcome. I first made a paper tempaplate of the opening for the freearm, and my hubby went from there. I find it so helpful, as I sew on my kitchen table, so that I have more room

Here's the pic of the table that is a hollow door w/formica glued on it...it is the front table w/machine. The table w/the glasses is a seperate table. I did put a 2x4 under it in an upright position for the machine is very heavy and I thought it best to have an extra support...just in case:))Go to: http://www.quiltingboard.com/posts/list/15/9044.page there you will find the pic of my table. I know what you are looking for. These tables are made from Lexon plastic and are very sturdy. I have one for all (5) my machines and love them. "Specially the see thru part that lets me store needed tools under it. It's perfect for me cause I'm left-handed.

I love my acrylic "sew-easy" extension, have the larger size and use it for clases and retreats. At home my machine is in a cabinet. The acrylic extension also doubles as a light box by sliding my small Ott light underneath. I love it.
