Would like to add my idea of a way to store the rulers used with a rotary cutter. I bought 2 wooden letter holders at Walmart (also at Office Depot) and just place my rulers in the slots. These sit at the end of my cutting table, and thus are always handy.

I am cleaning and rearranging my sewing area. I live in my husbands child hood home. His Mother built floor to ceiling shelves.Up to now I had all fabric in crates but am getting organized and getting all cotton fabric on those shelves. Now I have to find a place for 3 knitting machines and yarn. I Have filled 3 rooms in the past 8 years. Will still have 3 rooms-but will be organized. Karen Sue

I love your idea and I hope they do add this new section. I would read it all the time. I am always reading "tips" and looking for new, better, easier ways to do things, store things, etc.

I use my 6" wide ruler to fold my fabric. It's just like using the cardboard bolts at the fabric stores. But after I fold it, I pull out my ruler and then fold them in half the other way. Two rows fit perfectly in each shelf. I also just love looking at my wall of color. |

And why reinvent the wheel when someone else out there may have already found a solution you never considered? :) |

8-) I cut the vinyl the length that I needed and laid it out on a flat surface folded down at the top enough for rod to fit through about 2in and then taped across the fold catching half of the fold and half of the curtain.
