This was a great idea. I will certainly be checking this section for other storage tips.

The best idea I got from this Board is using pizza boxes (un-used) to store my various projects. They stack well. Added a label so I know the contents and stack 'em up! Thank you - whoever presented it!!!

This is going to be a great thread - thanks

Yes, I agree, it would be great to have a place to share storage/organization ideas. I have enjoyed all of the posts of anyone's sewing rooms. Don't have quite the space that some quilters have but do enjoy clever ideas that I haven't thought about. :-D

What a great idea! Definitely a place I am going to check frequently! Tips!

Great idea! I've got a very small room for quilting so I'll be watching for all the tips I can get.

Here's one I did - I took a wood shelf and drilled holes all along the front. I tapped in small wooden dowels about 2 inches high into the holes. I store my spray starch, basting spray, water bottle for my iron, etc., on the shelf and I put all of the oddly sized thread spools (1000 yd thread spools, denim thread, fuzzy thread, etc) on the dowels. I have a pegboard that I use for regular fashion thread but this keeps the specialty thread better organized and I can easily grab them. If you use a flat shelf, you can install hooks underneath for ribbons and stuff.
