I have been researching the height of sewing tables. I'm so confused. I have one of those plastic tables you can get at Costco/Sam's etc. It's starting to bother my shoulders and I want my DH to cut some of the legs off to lower it. What height should a table be? There is no cut-out in the table to put the machine in. I've already bought a computer chair but the table does need to be lowered.
Thank you for your help in advance, Mish :0) |

It may be easier to raise the height of your chair than to lift hubby off the couch. It's the relationship between your seat and your hands that counts, not how high things are off the floor.

Tried it out for a little while. I think it's gonna work. YAY!! Now if I can just get him to put holes in the walls so that I can put up a picture a friend gave me of an antique singer sewing machine.

Height of work surface should be so that your arms/shoulders are at right angle with your body with hands resting on table or better still machine. Same principle as computer/keyboard.
