Hey, that's what I have! I just bought it 2 weeks ago. I wonder if they have a flower attachment like this singer does. Almost want to buy this one just to have that option lol You heard I said almost right lol think I spent my quota already with the viking lol

DonnaC I do like the drawer and the feet that come with it...It might not have all the bells and whistles that the Beninas and Jamomes have, might not be made in the same foreign counties as the other machines... But I like the retro look of it I also love that black color... It's just gonna look sew cool in my sewin room next to all the different machines I have, the young and old Singers and the not Singers.... And I do think it honors the Singers of the past....just my little ole opinion "it's just sew cool. Come on mail get it here"

I just can't imagine that it would be any better quality than the other modern Singer sewing machines, and those, if you read and believe the reviews, don't last long. I admit that I like that they tried to mimic the looks of the vintage machines, and I'll admit that they look nice to me. If you look at the price, it's NOT a "high end" machine...which tells me that it's not going to stand up to heavy use. Now mind you, I don't own a "high end" modern machine...my modern machine is a low end (nearly the lowest) Janome. I've had it three years and it moans and groans every time I try to use it.

For those of you that have purchased one and are happy with it? I don't mean to rain on your parade. I'm glad you were able to get one and that you're happy about it...and I honestly do hope I'm wrong about the quality of the machine and that it makes millions of beautiful stitches for you!! :)

Thank you, Charlee. You always state your opinions so kindly on this board... it is much appreciated, as is your helpfulness on the vintage machine board. Unfortunately there are some really snarky folk lurking around here too! Differences of opinion are what makes the world go 'round, right?! Otherwise there would only be one model of sewing machine and we'd all have it (LOL).

I purchased one last night, I have been waiting since Oct. to purchase. This will not be my primary machine . I have 13 vintage Singers and when I saw this I think the looks sold me. I know singer has not had a great rep. on their new machines but wanted this mostly for my collection as it is a limited add. The price on it was really good and it came with alot of goodies. I will hope for the best with this purchase, as my mother always said a fool and her gold LOL.

I'm tempted just cause it looks cool... but then I have to be honest with myself. I'll likely never use it, or use it very rarely. So it's life would be spent tucked away in its little bag, or collecting dust on a shelf. I already have old machines, and a new machine, so I'm covered. But darn it, it's cute :)

I saw on HSN yesterday, it took my interest because my sister, a newbie quilter, was thinking of getting a new Singer for quilting. Serger foot interests me but wonder what other specail features it has. Sister doesn't make tons of quilts and she doesn't want to spend too much. I think a low end Jannone or Pfaff might be better suited to her needs and would hold up better. May in Jersey
