Find a ink print shop, screen print and ask to buy some of their ink remover.

There is also the new stain remover stuff like Tide has. I've seen ads for quilt stain removers in catalogs like Clotilde. Granny's Miracle something.

The printer guy where I used to work used Gojo to clean his hands after he cleaned the press. The stuff he used to clean the press was very potent and smelled awful and was probably too harsh to use on a nice quilt.

Oxy Clean is my go-to stain remover. Make a paste and work it in like with a tooth brush. May take 2 or 3 tries to get it all out

When using the alcohol, I put the stained area over my large strainer and pour the alcohol on the stain. Then let cool water run over the stain., Keep repeating until it is rised away. Letting the water or alcohol go straight through keeps the ink from spreading.

Some folks have good luck with hair spray, just make sure it is the kind with alcohol in it as that is the key ingredient. I just skip that and got straight to the alcohol.

alcohol...as in booze ??

I think Mom-6 might have been talking about Grandma's Secret Spot Remover--I got it at Hancock's. Hope this helps.
