The rows are sewn downwards I'd say columns. Once that clicks it's easy to put together. I made one sorry no picture.

Dottymo, you have the idea for putting everything together, but if your boxes are going to have lights in them, the triangles inside need to be 3 different lights. Light, lighter, and lightest. Sometimes the lightest is white. That lightest is the "floor". The other two are "walls". If you keep the darkest light in the same spot on all blocks, it adds to the optical illusion.
