Oh, I guess pebbling isn't what I was doing. Mine is a curvy line, then circle, curvy line, then circle. I've had it "professionally" done on my quilts before and I really like it. The circles are bigger than that picture too.

You may be refering to loops. It is very often done by longarmers. I love this for baby quilts and other utilitarian quilts.

I'm planning to try stippling on the quilt I'm working on now....I will have to practice first...Have done very small pieces but never a whole quilt. Mine will be about 45x55 so it's more a throw than a quilt. I made a window frame around a 9x11 fabric, so only thing I think I can do is stippling inside the frame. I usually hand stitch, but will try machine stippling on this. Wish me luck !
