I have small fingers also, size 4 1/2. I just use those metal thimbles in size small.
My girlfriend paid a good price for a thimble and she doesn't exactly like it. Keeps using it to get use to it.

Have a wonderful day.

I was introduced to this type of thimble. I like it, easy to use and will restick on finger time after time.

Where can you get them?

Wow ...they look really useful! I dont usually do much hand sewing except to do my embroidery. Then I have to use a thimble but I dont like the metal ones very much! I'll have to look out for them.

I purchased mine at one of the quilt shops i buy my fabric. When i first opened the pkg, i thought ya right the needle will probably go through and i'll get pricked with the needle. It didn't, they work great especially for us who have problems with the thimbles that go over the finger tips. i also love the idea how they can be reuses over and over again.

i think i saw these at hancock fabrics. bet i try them next time i see them.
thanks for the idea.
i have never gotten used to a metal thimble. i stick with the leather ones with the metal tip. thimbles just don't feel natural to me. think of all those pioneer ladies who guarded their thimble and their one and only needle with their lives. aren't we spoiled? i know i am.

No i never feel any kind of residue from this kind of thimble, I purchased these at a quilt shop i buy my fabric from. I think i even seen them at wal mart.

My across the street neighbor likes to hand quilt. She tried some of those stick on "thimbles" but said she went through them rather quickly. Now, she just uses several layers of adhesive tape. Much less expensive.
