Do a turning twenty. It takes twenty fat quarters

Yep, scrap quilts would be my choice, as well.

I just finished another pincushion that is displayed over on the left but I'm running out of these colors. I tried darker fabrics but it just doesn't come out the same.

If you make a sampler quilt you could use two or three or more different colors in each block and then buy yardage for borders.

You can never, ever, have too many fat quarters. There is always something to do with them. Mix them with solids you may have, you can create a marvelous holiday table runner utilizing colors that would go for that holiday (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Chanukah, Valentines day, etc.).
If you feel there are too many taking up space in your home, I shall send you my address and they can take up residency along with all of mine, that seem to like being here. (LOL)

I sort them in like colors and then when a quilt calls for yardage in a particular color, I pick out enough fat quarters to make up the yardage. Having a greater variety of fabrics in your quilts, even in the same color family can give a quilt interest and texture. I always use at least 20+ fabrics in most of my quilts.

I love to buy fat quarters! And I love to make scrappy quilts, so I guess that is what I would have to say. lol
