Freedom is a scarey thing :) LOL, enjoy the gift once and then you can make something scrappy and enjoy the new fabrics all over again. Just, in case you couldn't tell: I'm jealous. :)

I agree with everyone. Pick a pattern. Shop for the perfect fabric. Enjoy the process and the new quilt! Luann

I like to let the fabric lead me to the pattern. Of course, I can fall in love with certain fabric collections easily, so I have another delemma to handle. When I can't choose, I get several yards of a collection and add them to my stash. Recently retired, so these collections are waiting and calling.

I'd buy the pattern and fabric for one of Judy Niemeyer's exquisite quilts.

Or possibly one of Jinny Beyer's kits.

I love batiks and the creme brulee pattern is awesome.

What a delightful problem to have! I would take a class in a technique I've been wanting to learn and use fabrics I don't usually use - batiks come to mind.
OR
I would buy a kit from Keepsake or Connecting Threads. They both have some beautiful kits.

HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I get gift cards or gift certificates I hold on to them for a while until something really strikes my eye. After all it is a gift for me that I get to pick out so don't want to be too quick and buy something I really don't want. So don't be too quick to use them up.

I can so relate to this problem. I'm a scrappy quilter too. Used to making due with what I have. If I can pick anything I want I get dizzy with all the possiblities, then I get a headache and have to go home.

Check out the lqs, get some ideas. Have fun with the dreaming part of what to do with the money.

Pick a pattern that YOU would like to have, then pick out fabric from your wish list that YOU would like in your own quilt. Do this ONE FOR YOU!!!! Have fun!!!

Connecting Threads has so many huge sales on their quilt kits... You could get a bunch of those for your money! That's what I would do... They have some real beauties, but all the online stores have great sales right now! Blessings!
