Tumbling blocks pattern
Does any one have a link to a tumbling block pattern made from 1/2 square triangles? I made a quilt from it years ago and now can't dine my pattern.

There is a good one with no set in seams on utube. Google it. It is by Marci Baker at Annie's attic.

Thanks but I want the one using half square triangles.

try Kitsie on the QB, she had a beautiful one on here awhile back.

How do I search for her?

Are you sure you don't mean 60 degree triangles instead of HST patches (45 degree angles)? Which is the Marci Baker method/pattern referenced upthread - the 60 degree triangles are sewn into strips, which are then joined. You do need to watch your color/value placement. But there are no diamond shaped pieces. Ergo, no set-in seams. Not quite sure how you're going to get a hexagon with patches cut with a 45 degree angle. Do you have a picture of the quilt you made? And here's the recent hexagon quilt posted by Kitsie: http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...ml#post4797872 Not the classic Tumbling Blocks, but different color placement. It's GORGEOUS. I think this is the tutorial she used : http://www.jaybirdquilts.com/2010/03...-supplies.html Made with 60 degree triangles. |

You could also do it with Flying Geese if that's what you wanted! |
