I use a door mirror on the table of my midarm machine. As I quilt across the frame, I can slide the mirror back and forth underneath the rolling platform. It does not get in the way. I can see what is going on the underside of the quilt just by looking at the mirror. Hope this makes sense.

This is what I do also. In addition, I use a flashlight, shinning on the mirror, to see how the stitches look. This works very well. I then remove the mirror when I need the back of the machine for something else, i.e. Trimming quilt, laying out other fabrics for a new project, etc. etc. When I'm ready to quilt another quilt, I just lay the mirror back on the back of the machine. One caution.....I always match my thread as close as I can.....if it is hard to see, you might want to occasionally advance the quilt enough to get a real good look at it in addition to using the mirror.

I want to use the iPad on top of my Nolting and monitor continuously the underneath so I can catch something quick and not spend time ripping. I need a small wireless camera that talks to the iPad, so I am thinking there must be an app for that. I need a camera that can be plugged in as battery life is short.
I looked all over Amazon and can't find one that will send its signal to the iPad. I don't want to run a wire from the camera to the top of the machine and worry about the wire getting tangled as the machine moves. Mirrors and flashlights don't work for me as I have neck and knee issues getting under the frame. Thanks for the replies

I use a $10 full sized mirror from the $ store, laid flat on the "table" surface of my LA. Works great!

For those of you who have bought the CenTech from Harbor Freight what was the price before the coupon? I would love to get one as a gift.

I have a door mirror on my frame too and I still can't see close enough. I do the hand mirror with a flashlight and have better luck. But thanks for this thread because it's got me checking out cameras I can use with a laptop. Just one more thing that I think I need.

Also had a Logitec webcam not in use so with these 2 items and a 30 ft USB cable with a booster due to the length of the cable I was able to add the webcam to the underside of my Innova. I used one of those huge clips to attach it to the base of the machine, strung the cable up and over a conduit pipe I have on the ceiling holding up all my other cables/power cords and then down to the laptop I have sitting on a rolling cart at one end of my frame. Works like a charm and didn't cost me much......I think less than $50 for the 30ft USB cable I found on Amazon.com. I also was looking in the Quilter's Eye but was told it was a waste of money and it did seem like a lot of money to me.

On the Innova yahoo group in the files they have a DIY folder where folks have placed their ideas for add-ons to their machine systems. I was lucky I had these 2 items already sitting around the house. Think someone with an Innova was able to hook her cable to her tablet so its doable.

I have requested access to the Innova yahoo group but have not heard back. Do you possibly have the files mentioned? I would love to have the files so that I can set up my own diy "quilters eye" for doing pantos.

Yahoo Groups have been closing down for the last 2 months; Yahoo announced back in October that all content would be deleted by December 14. They have extended that deadline to Jan 31, but it's likely that the group has disbanded and moved, most of the Yahoo groups I belong to have moved to either FB or groups.io. You might try looking there for Innova groups.

Yahoo groups have been closed. It was planned by Yahoo for some time and notice was sent out. People who put stuff on one of the yahoo groups may still be able to retrieve it.

I used to do that with my Grace Pinnacle frame. I could do it because the top two rollers were mostly over the table.

Now I have a q'nique 21 on continuum frame. The take up roller is at the front of the table and quilting takes place in front of it. While I have a table, it's useless for the mirror idea. Oh, well.
