I bought a bunch of them. I do not use the rotary cutter that often but when I do they work well and so much cheaper than the ones sold at the craft stores.

Yep....me too!!! During the summer I would take a batch of fussy cut I Spy hexagons to my brothers pool and do my cutting while the kids were swimming. I was using a cheap little mat to cut on (it was easy to take with me because it was so small) and it seemed as if the first Harbor Freight blade that I used got dull almost right away.
I was so disappointed because I had bought so many of them. Come to find out, it was actually the cheap mat!!! I started using my regular green mat and now my HF blades last a long time.

Great tip. So far I love the Harbor freight blades.

Thanks for this news. That may be why my new blades don't work.

Using a worn out mat will blunt any blades.

Great tip, that could be my problem as well. Will have to put a new mat on my Christmas list.

I always take and spray my matts with WD40 and wash them in hot soapy water and brush it with a soft brush. It helps a lot to keep the matt supple and you get more life out of your blades and matt.
