Have you been to this one? Sounds really nice and the price is quite reasonable for an all inclusive quilting retreat weekend!

You also have three other quilt guilds nearby......QUILT in Delmar (quiltinc.org)......QUILTS in Schenectady (quiltschenectady.org)........Quilt North (Quiltnorth.org) in Clifton Park......

There should also be a guild in Bennington VT.....they have a quilt show every fall......

There is the Fly Geese quilt shop in Colonie (near the Albany Airport)that does classes.......Almost one of a kind in Ballston Spa..........and the Joyful Quilter in Glenville

I also heard that the quilting weeks in VT are very nice......... http://quiltinginvermont.stronghouseinn.com/

Sad to say, but no. The only one I've been to is Wiawaka, when Anita Shackelford and Sharon Stroud held quilt camp there. The accommodations were a bit rough, but it was a lot of fun, and of course, Lake George is magnificent!

Oh, thank you all so much.
Yes, the retreat in the Berkshires sounds heavenly; also, I love the Lake George area. Syracuse isn't too far for me - friends of my late DH live ther and I could reconnect with them,
Yes, the Benington show in VT is one of the nicest small ones around. I might check out vermont too.
Thanks again.

Vermont Quilt Festival is coming up at the end of June. The quilts in this show are spectacular. You can also take classes there. If you're in the area, this is a "must see" show.

Hinterland, I've been to some rough retreats also and then to some with nice hotel rooms. They're all fun in the end because you got to go away doing a hobby you love with wonderful quilting friends!

Is that the one in Benington? That isn't too far for me.

It's the one in my link upthread:
http://www.vqf.org/

It was around 4 to 5 hours from NYC, so it's not a bad drive from your area at all.

Lovely, thank you. I think I just might do that. June in Vermont sounds nice.
