I was at a shop and they had used the veggie, fruit fabric in rectangle blocks and bordered each block with wood print fabric.
They looked like boxes of veggies & fruits. It was really neat so I have quite a few prints and have now bought some wood print that was funny it was called outhouse. So I'm going to give it a try and see how it turns out. Also the star quilt looks really neat with the black background it makes the bright fruit pop. kjym Kathy |

How about a bib apron with the bib part pieced.

Just found your post. I have loved these fabrics and have made a wall hanging called "Farmer's Market" and 2 table runners with them. I just don't get tired of these beautiful fabrics. Let us know what you make.

I have some that my sister sent me-she made a bunch of totes and had a lot leftover and was tired of using it! I was planning to do the standard canning jar quilt but I really love the one shown above with the names of the food. Maybe I'll do a combo. I like the wood box idea too, or maybe a bowl or basket idea.

I have quite a bit of this fabric and plan to make a quilted tablecloth out of it. I'm going to put it together with various gingham's for a real country kitchen look.

I made my daughter, who loves to go to her local farmer's market, a tote bag with 2 1/2" strips of each vegetable. I had purchased a bundle of fatt quarters so I had enough to make two bags and a summer wall hanging that had vegetable squares around a applique' rabbit.

Fabri-Quilt has two patterns using their "Farmer John's Market" fruit - and - veggie prints. You could just as well use anybody else's fabrics, or a joyful mix.
Truthfully, I like the ideas that the forum members have posted here better, but here's the link anyway. http://fabri-quilt.com/patterns/ |
