I love your work, Rebecca_S... That first quilt looks like a special game board! You could call it the 'Game Board Sampler'!

Your second piece looks really happy too.

I have spent my sewing time uploading fabric for sale on Ebay! I forgot how long it takes. Maybe now I can get a few more blocks pieced.

Sewbizgirl: Yes I am making a sampler by only using blocks that are made exclusively from HST's. I'm following the HST Challenge by Liz Katsuro. We are on week 15 so 10 more weeks of HST blocks. Her website is www.jellyrollfabric.net. The challenge is on the bottom of the home page.

I finished the rectangles for my Giant Scrappy Swoon. Now I'm waiting for the next clue.

I also finished a charity quilt top.

What pattern is that

Kristakz

what pattern is this? I have been looking for something to use with round fancy cuts and this would work well.

Got one quilt off the longarm, pieced a backing for the next one, finished up a little baby quilt top from the remains of a fabric line (3rd quilt from the FQ I bought of this fabric, and I think I can finally say DONE). And I put together some blocks for a panel I want to finish up for donation. Now I'm off to work, and when I get home I plan to attach the binding to a quilt, and maybe load a new one on the longarm.

(The Owls) Awwww... that's darling! Colors would work for a boy or a girl, too.

Nice tote bag, Judy. I need to make one or two... What's your stiffener? Have you seen the foam bag stiffener that MSQC uses on their recent tote bag videos? It looks so cool and easy to use. Probably costs a bundle, tho.

Thank you for the link to Liz Katsuro, Connie. I will go and see what the blocks look like! It sounds like a wonderful project for some themed fabric, like Civil War or 30's Reproduction... You can do so much with HSTs.

Whoever said it earlier in this thread was right... We come here to get some projects finished, and end up walking away with a laundry list of new things we want to try! There is no end to our obsession.

Despite dealing with a leg blood clot which means not sitting or standing for very long, I managed so far to get a Guild Challenge project done (hopefully the picture loads this time!) and got a mostly white, modern quilt squared, pressed and batting ready for the long arm. I also got the long arm all cleaned up, rails polished and black light switched in as I plan to use white chalk to mark this quilt--never done this before so keep your fingers crossed. I'm also squaring up Storm at Sea units for a queen size one--an endless quilt???
