I'm in. I just finished a small wall hanging and I have some kitchen items to make to refresh my kitchen for the New Year..

Good weekend for sewing! I've got lots of irons in the fire right now. I love the Frolic reveal, but it is going back burner for now because other projects have deadlines looming.
I've been making small crazy style pp blocks for a quilt that is supposed to be shown at an April retreat. Some of the blocks had curvy parts, so they had been pulled aside until I was in the mood to deal with them. And now there are only 3 of them left to do!

Then there is the Farmers Wife challenge I'm in - one block a week. I have been trying to stay ahead of those and need to make at least 4 more to keep my "cushion".

Tomorrow I am taking a class on making a lone star using the Quiltsmart foundations. Just looking at the pattern, I have no idea what I'm supposed to do, so I'm really glad to have the guidance. I decided to use fabrics to make the finished star appropriate for a veteran's quilt.

There are also some non-quilting sewing projects that need to be done as well. A white pirate blouse for my 7 year old GD needed by mid March for a Disney cruise pirate party. A sweatshirt that needs a makeover because it is way big for my GS, I'm thinking to remove the sleeves and make a raglan sleeve for it, to make the shoulders more narrow and take up the sleeve length. Not fun! But it was a Christmas gift and didn't come in a child size... sigh...

The plan for this weekend is to get the Grace Frame up and running smoothly again so I can do a couple FMQ projects that I have in the works. So this is the plan. I have a practice sandwich on the frame right now doing a test run. I still have a couple kinks and have to learn to run without the stitch regulator. This is a whole new ball game for me. I am confident I will accomplish this and hopefully this weekend.

Really unusual for me but I’ve got 3 little charity quilts on the go at the moment - don’t know quite how that happened!

They are all made from panels. One is an eBay bundle of panel and contrasting border fabrics - just about got that one finished. The other two were given to me by my sister-in-law. One is a panel the other is supposed to be a fabric book but I’ve cut the ‘pages’ to make blocks. Fortunately leftover fabric from the first quilt matched the second and I’ve got fabric in my stash that will make borders for the third.

I’ve got to admit I haven’t put a lot of creative effort into these. Each panel is getting a contrasting border, binding and a fleece back. Should be ready for my Project Linus coordinator by Monday.

Yeah!!! I'm ready for this weekend. A weekly event for this am was cancelled d/t 1" snow yesterday that is melting fast-we Californians just don't do snow. More time for quilting.

There's so many projects to choose from. I think I'll start with whatever is cluttering my studio: putting together some backs and LA the project already loaded.

Ok, I have already finished the last 3 of the crazy blocks that are machine appliqued. Now I can put the machine away that was set up with invisible thread and zigzag foot.

I haven't been sewing at all, so thank you for the boost. The first thing I am doing to do is having a date with Jack. I don't like one of the fabrics in the border of my Irish Chain, so it has to go. Luckily, I found a different print to replace it last night. When I get tired of that, there is a king size wanting FMQ on another machine.

I'm here this weekend, and ready to work on my Circa 1880 quilt pieces. I'm ironing today, after starching 128 different reproduction fabrics and letting it dry. After ironing, I cut strips into 1" and 1-1/2" sizes. The Circa 1880 blocks are 2" finished! I'm making it a queen size so there will be over 700 2-inch blocks when I'm finished.

Is it weird that I envy everyone their cold and bad weather?! It's the best season here in the southwest -sunny and wonderful temperatures, but I really just long to be sewing one of my 13 UFO's! Plus, like Iceblossom said, sometimes have to make the hubby happy and do things outside my sewing room with him too! I'm definitely putting some more work into my log cabin UFO. She's up to the 2nd border -the piano key one- and I'm dying to finish it. Do I do another plain border afterwards? It's only about 48" right now.

I'll be in later, I have had a rough week with our electric situation after the storms from last weekend, I had a nearby lightning strike almost take out my breaker box. I did do some work on my hexies very early this morning, but it's been slow because I'm having issues and when I felt that tinge of frustration start to creep in, I shut my quilting room down and went in to rest.
