I guess it depends on what you are looking for. Guilds are a great way to meet people. Unfortunately, they seem to have a lot of different agendas in the membership, i.e. some want it for strictly social, some like to eat, some want to learn, some want to do quilt shows, others think it's too much work, on and on, and on....so, I'm kinda thinking a get together and quilt group would be more for me once I get moved, take some classes, and meet some people.
