I still do it periodically even though I have heard for years that it is not a good idea to put pins, screws, or nails in the mouth.

What a scary thought! Thanks for posting. Maybe should be reposted on a regular basis.

Oops! I do all the time. Thanks for the heads up I'll try and change my habits.

oh my sorry you had to learn the hard way and glad you shared your story because i put them in my mouth sometimes with out even thinking!!! but now i will think of you when i do that and will break the habit!!!
thank you |
Thank you for this great reminder. I'm glad everything turned out okay for you - what a scarey experience!!! Another thing to remember about pins in your mouth - the acid will break down the metal of some pins making them very rough and dull. This was a habit I found very hard to break; but I now have little pin cushions in all my sewing kits even if it is just a scrap of fabric with some batting attached so I dont' put them in my mouth.

THANK YOU for the warning!! I WILL make myself a wrist pin cushion first thing in the morning!! I am very glad yu are ok...I would have died of fright!!

Wow that would be scary. I put them in my mouth every once in a while, but not to often. God bless
