That’s fabulous! I taught my dh to quilt a couple years ago when we bought our longarm and he wanted to play with it.

this past week, I was sewing blocks and he wandered in to help. The next day I was putting the rows together and he was pestering so I gave him some to sew together. I wound up grilling dinner and he put the whole rest of the quilt top together!

the next day he put on borders and then long armed it and now he’s doing the binding too! I’m battling tendinitis in my arm and he’s being a huge help!

(today I cut out pieces for next quilt. We shall see how much I actually do....)

My DH is color blind, so I don't know what he is seeing. He'll have interesting comments, like, 'It looks like molecules,' 'it looks like a box of chocolates,' 'it looks like an alien.' If I have a Bonnie Hunter quilt up, he'll say, 'Aaaahhhhh! Busy.' I'll ask his opinion when considering options for something, and then he usually says, 'it depends what you want.'
