2 or 6 works for me
I love the plaid fabric, so it has to be involved somewhere!
That looks great, Petal.................

I like the red sashing also.
I like the gold cornerstones with a first border of narrow gold. I'd need to put that up on a design board with each sashing choice to preview the sashings. Quilting with stars or snowflakes would be pretty. Your blocks are teriffic and I think you captured "dark, warm and woodsy" very well! Good luck.
I like the red or the green sashing.
i like the 5th one.
I like the last red one best also.
#!, #3, #6 are the ones I like.. in that order.. Very pretty quilt and not dull at all
I like the third one the best. The light gold compliments the other fabrics, but makes the blocks pop.
#3 or the last one. Wow, you gave us a lot to choose from!
I agree with paulswalia, 3 or 6 looks better to me.
I love photo #3. I really like the contrast of the lighter tan and the plaid is great.
I love the red . I want to cuddle with my Honey under it and watch the fire in the fireplace flicker.Maybe a nice glass of wine............................
I like the cream or the red.
#3 is the only choice for me....
The powder blue does not fit, but the gold and green are nice.

I vote for either photo # 3 or # 6. Number 5 is interesting, kind of subtle, but may be too much the same tone.
I love your blocks and they do not look dark to me! I think I would like view 6 but with the white snowflakes for the yellow fabric.
. |
I like the green sashing with cornerstones made from the tan starry fabric or from red, or red sashing with cornerstones made from the tan starry fabric or the green. I love that tan starry fabric; I think that makes your blocks just sparkle! Another choice would be sashing from the background fabric, as in Photo #4 with cornerstones of red or green or the tan starry fabric.
I found it a little difficult to choose between 2 of them but whatever one you use, I just want to say that I think it's beaut. & not a bit dark & dull. You've probably just been looking at it too long.
My vote is for narrow gold sashing and red cornerstones! Nice no matter what:)
Since you haven't finished making all your blocks, what about ditching the sashing and set blocks together with blocks of an alternate design in lighter & brighter colors?

I'm considering everything. Your brown idea is really interesting.

I like either like the red or the green sashing.
I like the red. Very classy quilt for the holidays.
I like the first picture, it seems to make the blocks pop.

I like #3. With the red cornerstone, not plaid. I like the outer borders you have planned. Good luck!

If you feel as if the tan background is too dark, how about making 15 new blocks with a lighter tan. Then alternate the 15 new blocks with 15 original blocks. Lay them out alternatively and then you will see a nice (subtle) secondary pattern emerge. So you'll have six original blocks with dark tan left over..... Use them on the back or make a pillow case or a bureau scarf! It still really isn't too late.
I think JenniePenny's idea is a great one, really worth considering. |
I like #^6
white on white
I think white on white would be awesome
I haven't read 11 pages of posts---just wanted to say I like them all except the gold cornerstones. It doesn't look like it belongs to me because there's no other gold color anywhere in the blocks.
#3 or #6 and I am leaning more with #6
I like the red one.
