2 or 6 works for me

Kwiltr 09-11-2013 07:47 PM

I love the plaid fabric, so it has to be involved somewhere!

KarenJ 09-11-2013 08:59 PM

That looks great, Petal.................

Perfectly stated--I think this too, exactly!

BETTY62 09-11-2013 10:44 PM

I like the red sashing also.

Reb 09-12-2013 02:58 AM

I like the gold cornerstones with a first border of narrow gold. I'd need to put that up on a design board with each sashing choice to preview the sashings. Quilting with stars or snowflakes would be pretty. Your blocks are teriffic and I think you captured "dark, warm and woodsy" very well! Good luck.

danlynmartin 09-12-2013 03:25 AM

I like the red or the green sashing.

dd55 09-12-2013 03:53 AM

i like the 5th one.

JaniceP 09-12-2013 03:55 AM

I like the last red one best also.

Sandi 09-12-2013 03:56 AM

#!, #3, #6 are the ones I like.. in that order.. Very pretty quilt and not dull at all

EmiliasNana 09-12-2013 04:41 AM

I like the third one the best. The light gold compliments the other fabrics, but makes the blocks pop.

michelleoc 09-12-2013 04:43 AM

#3 or the last one. Wow, you gave us a lot to choose from!

Gerbie 09-12-2013 05:32 AM

I agree with paulswalia, 3 or 6 looks better to me.

pollyjvan9 09-12-2013 05:41 AM

I love photo #3. I really like the contrast of the lighter tan and the plaid is great.

Patchwork Pam 09-12-2013 06:36 AM

I love the red . I want to cuddle with my Honey under it and watch the fire in the fireplace flicker.Maybe a nice glass of wine............................

WMUTeach 09-12-2013 06:40 AM

I like the cream or the red.

alikat110 09-12-2013 07:57 AM

#3 is the only choice for me....

Battle Axe 09-12-2013 08:09 AM

The powder blue does not fit, but the gold and green are nice.

I think #3 looks nice.

red-warrior 09-12-2013 02:22 PM

I love your blocks and they do not look dark to me! I think I would like view 6 but with the white snowflakes for the yellow fabric.

I like the green sashing with cornerstones made from the tan starry fabric or from red, or red sashing with cornerstones made from the tan starry fabric or the green. I love that tan starry fabric; I think that makes your blocks just sparkle! Another choice would be sashing from the background fabric, as in Photo #4 with cornerstones of red or green or the tan starry fabric.

Pat G 09-12-2013 03:26 PM

I found it a little difficult to choose between 2 of them but whatever one you use, I just want to say that I think it's beaut. & not a bit dark & dull. You've probably just been looking at it too long.

katkat1946 09-12-2013 04:03 PM

My vote is for narrow gold sashing and red cornerstones! Nice no matter what:)

GeeGee 09-12-2013 08:31 PM

Since you haven't finished making all your blocks, what about ditching the sashing and set blocks together with blocks of an alternate design in lighter & brighter colors?

My favorite ideas always require buying more fabric, and I'm nuts for brown. :p Maybe you just wanted votes on the fabric you already have? I like the red sashing!

KarenJ 09-13-2013 02:42 AM

I'm considering everything. Your brown idea is really interesting.

My time 09-13-2013 05:58 AM

I like either like the red or the green sashing.

wildwoodflower12390 09-13-2013 07:44 AM

I like the red. Very classy quilt for the holidays.

2blackcats 09-13-2013 11:28 AM

I like the first picture, it seems to make the blocks pop.

Willing to 'think outside the box', good for you. The brown idea may have merit. Looked again at your fabrics. I felt my eyes had nowhere to 'rest'. They almost all have a snow in them of some sort. So a warm brown, maybe a moda marble if you don't like solids, with either the red/green plaid or a gold (change to brown and maybe the gold needs a bit of tone change) would be just the thing. It might work to bring the quilt back to your goal of dark (not dull) warm, and woodsy. You certainly have great blocks to work with. Hmm....

Drocket1 09-15-2013 06:52 AM

I like #3. With the red cornerstone, not plaid. I like the outer borders you have planned. Good luck!

Use them on the back or make a pillow case or a bureau scarf! It still really isn't too late.

I think JenniePenny's idea is a great one, really worth considering.

I like #^6

marand 09-15-2013 03:02 PM

white on white

marand 09-15-2013 03:03 PM

I think white on white would be awesome

JustAbitCrazy 09-15-2013 04:44 PM

I haven't read 11 pages of posts---just wanted to say I like them all except the gold cornerstones. It doesn't look like it belongs to me because there's no other gold color anywhere in the blocks.

stablemom 09-15-2013 08:32 PM

#3 or #6 and I am leaning more with #6

BETTY62 09-15-2013 08:38 PM

I like the red one.
