My dauighter has it, hidden beneath her nicer quilts on the quilt rack. She said she will always keep it because it was my very first one. Isn"t that sweet?? I would toss it out!!LOL

I haven't quilted mine yet, just finished the top then put it aside. Charity sounds like a good option. I guess I will have to finish it. I'm thinking it will be my "learn to free motion quilt" quilt. Maybe it won't be so bad.

Sometimes a really ugly quilt turns out to look a lot better as a tote bag or pillows. I'll finish a project up and wash and dry it, then put it away for a while and see if I still think it's awful a month later. If it is, it's fair game for being recycled into something else.

I have an ugly top which was going to be a table runner. I have kept it on my design wall to remind me of what NOT to do. At some point, it will probably end up as part of a pieced quilt backing...

Thanks. |
I no longer have it,but I had one that was so ugly it depressed me so I got a busy print with all sorts of activity on it and covered it........can't see ugly for the joy of apple trees and children playing. I donated it to shut-ins at nursing home. I thought about putting it in the doggie bed, but I love my doggie.

Finish it and donate it. Then you don't have to keep thinking about what to do with the darn thing!
