i used them and made quilts theme quilts for my boys. used all the same theme one was fishing, library books, hunting, sports, cars and mixed them up with squares of regular material

they make good potholders and hot mats too. Or pillows

I made 2 dog beds out of a bunch of wool/poly blend men's suit samples. They wash up well, too.

Just what I was going to recommend. Also great for crazy quilts.

Thank you all for all your good ideas. This message board is just great , where we are able tohelp each other out . I have never made purses, toes or handbags but am willing to try out these fabric swatches! Thanks again!!

We have made bed scarves out of these types of things. You don't have to worry about the weight and they can look really sharp!!

How about patchwork dog beds for your local humane society or self/friends/family that have pets -- since they are "practically free" if they get chewed on or ??? they would have served a useful purpose.
