I don't know how to tell those ladies from 1955, but if my husband got what he wanted when he got home from work it wouldn't have any thing to do with his stomach! Have men changed from 1955 too?
|
I wear thread magnets!
|
If I followed the good wife quide my husband would go into shock and have a heart attack. I wear jeans and t shirt when I decide to get dressed out of my night clothes.
|
Sweats and a tshirt, some comfy slippers work for me!
|
Pj's.
|
   If I followed the "Good Wife Guide" my DH would go back out the door to make sure he came home to the right house! Then he would pack me right off to a doctor. Actually it might be fun to do it once just to see his reaction. BUT just ONCE.

I wear my stretch capris and a tee shirt.I am also usually barefooted.

I wear clothes for comfort when I'm at home - no matter what I'm doing...going out, I'll put on my decent jeans and a knit top.
|
Usually muumuus and birkenstocks; maybe put on mismatched socks in cold weather :)

You must be my missing twin. I take off the shoes to work the foot peddle though.
|
You sound like me. I thought I was the only one who wore boxers. They are so comfortable. My grown kids hate them, but, oh well. I only am able to quilt on the weekends, so i start as soon as I get up and don't stop until bedtime on Sunday. Do you think I am addicted? LOL
|
It depends on the weather. Jeans & turtlenecks + sweatshirt or sweater when it's cold, and I get cold easily. Shorts & tees in warm weather. And I always wear shoes - don't want to step on pins!
My jeans are SO comfortable (old enough to go to Goodwill) - ditto the turtlenecks, sweatshirts and tees - that I really have to change into something else if I have to run to JoAnn's or the LQS fo thread or something. |

If I'm clean and not exposed then no one would criticize my dress for home but one time. 8-) |

Pretty fancy Nancy :)

I usually go to the sewing room when I first wake up in the morning. My robe is covered with thread!
|
Whatever I darn well feel like wearing.
Don't complain or I might get naked. J J |
I've tried to go more formal, but the pearls keep getting caught on the pins when I'm sewing. Also, panty hose just attracts too many threads.
sigh. Actually, I prefer a flannel nightgown and fuzzy slippers. |
I like to sew naked. LOL

Funny thing is I wear the same type of cloths during the day that I also sleep in but when I get up in the morning I change. It doesn't make sense to me I could just stay in sweats all day that I slept in. For that matter I could wear them for a week and not shower just put more deoderant on.........ONLY KIDDING!!!!!!!!!!

My sewing room is ungodly hot. Something about being in the peak on the southern exposure. It will be 95-100 degrees in there.
Anyway, in the summer, if nobody is around I quilt in a sleeveless teeshirt and panties. The rest of the year, I usually wear a teeshirt and shorts or thin PJ like sweats. No shoes ever. And nothing ever that feels tight. |
whatever when the mood strikes me, but mostly crop pants and T shirts or jeans and tops.
|
Wear my robe and pj's mostly, sometimes loose fitting pants and shirt. I too, am not a bra person. Only DH and myself, kids are in another state

I agree with this response as well......there just isn't a specific uniform required for creating! |

i wear comfy sweats usually. but the only time i have company is when im in my flannel pj's all day lol
|
I LOVE JAMMIES. Winter I sew in jammies or sweats. Summer lightweight jammies or tees and soft shorts. I could be happy living in jammies in the house. Sometimes I get up, shower and put on clean jammies for the day in the winter if I know I am not going out and no company expected lol.
|
I don't get dressed either unless I have some plan for the day. Making up for all the years I was up and ready at the crack of dawn.
I sew in my sleeping shirts and barefeet. Very relaxing and fun, for me. |
For me shorts and t-shirts in warm weather and flannel pj pants and t-shirt in cold and maybe flannel pj top over t-shirt if cold...bare feet or socks.I am retired now and don't fuss much about how I look ...yeahhhhh
|
Night-O Day around the house in cool weather, sweats or flannal lounge Bottoms & t-shirt. warm weather knit shorts and a t-shirt. No Bra... Going out of the house Bra, T-shirt and usualy Jeans. Always dress for confort sence I'm retired and don't work anymore.
|
sounds like you all think like me--COMFORT. When I retired out went the suits and heels and in came the shorts, jersey pants, sweatpants and lots of Tee shirts.

Anything that is comfortable. Usually shorts and tank top in the summer and sweats in the winter and never any shoes although I may wear a pair of socks in the winter. I cannot sew with shoes on!
|
I wear jeans a lot when I go out, but not for when I am quilting. Too binding. I love the sweats. And they hid a lot of my muffin top too.
|
Most comfy is the loose fitting simple house dresses (from patterns) I make for myself with fabric on sale.

I must go to Kohl's for a backup pair. Don't know what I'd do without those clorox pjs. I'm making a red, white and black with a touch of creamy gray quilt for a teenage grandson. I didn't think it was going to be so great, but it's turning out nice. Happy sewing. |
