Mine is an older Bernina 1530 with no bells or whistles.

I use all three of my vintage Berninas.....an 807 Record, an 830 mechanical, a 1990s 1031.

I started on my Elna 6001 years ago and moved up to the Handiquilter Sweet Sixteen which is still a sit down just turned 90 degrees from a smaller sewing machine. It's on a 3x3 foot table. I loved it because there was no learning curve since I had already been FMQ-ing on my Elna. To be honest the long-arms scare me!
Right now I am working on a king-sized Tennessee Waltz and it is performing like a champ. This is the second king-sized I have done along with a lot of lap/twin sized quilts since I got it 4 years ago. |
I do all my FMQ on my Bernina 630, with the BSR foot.
I am dreaming of a Innova Sit down machine...... some day! |
My dreamweaver FMQ beatifully even if I don't the tension on it is always good

I use my Juki-TL-98Q. Have made up to a king size quilt on it....king was pushing it...but it worked
Before I got this one, I used my Bernina 1030. |

I use my Janome 8900 for FMQ. I tried using several other machines for quilting, but when I bought the Janome, everything just clicked and it does a beautiful job. I love it!

Bernina 820 with BSR, but I started FMQ'ing on an old Singer with no BSR
|
I also use a Bernina 1530 for FMQ. It's also great with straight line quilting using my walking foot.
