Quilting cotton fabric at the one WalMart here is $5.96 a yard. The Quilt of the Month fabric is $2.79 per yard and when it's David's Textile fabric I buy three yards of each. It has a nice feel and drape to it. I have several quilts made from David's Textile fabric that has been used and abused and they still look great. I buy the $1 a yard fabric for projects that I know will have a short use life.
