I've done other scrap quilt patterns, but I allways seem to come back to the log cabin.

I love your quilt, love reds. Besides log cabin I like court house steps and also an hour glass quilt.

Really like the snowball quilt pattern. Easy.

If you go to the Picture Archive on this board there is a section of Scrappy Quilts - should get a few ideas. Or try Google or Pinterest...

I really like the Double Irish Chain quit pattern done in a controlled scrappy fashion. Another one is the snowball block...really, almost any quilt pattern can be turned scrappy! Your quilt is fabulous! Have a great time creating your next quilt!

I just went thru my 2.5" square last night and I'm getting ready to do the scrapaholic quilt. I love anything stringy from Bonnie Hunter. I LOVE scrap quilts and that is pretty much the only thing I make anymore.

I love your quilt - would call it a very controlled scrappy sampler. I usually make very UNcontrolled scrappies, the last one here - http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...d-t207658.html - but usually I make log cabins with the scraps. I'm trying to branch out and make other patterns too and have been going through books and web sites looking for the next one to make.

Beautiful!!! Love all the reds. I like snowball combined with 9-patch....simple yet striking.

I have made quite a few for Project Linus : http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...nBoxbyJoan.jpg this is a pic of just one of many. |
Terrific scrappy! I do love pinwheels myself. Quiltville has lots of great patterns also.

Your reds and tans quilt is beautiful. I probably wouldn't have even called it scrappy. :)
I've used Sunny Lanes from Quilter's cache and several other patterns. Just check out the scrappy quilts thread here. |
