What is your favorite vintage quilt pattern
I have some fun little 30s repo. fabrics and I want to make a quilt that looks like one my Nannie would have made. Can't decide on a pattern. What is your favorite for this type of quilt? I am so excited to use these fabrics but can't make up my mind.

9 patch or log cabin comes to mind for me. I like traditional patterns for reproduction fabrics.

Have you ever read Eleanor Burns Egg Money Quilts? You might be able to find it at your local library. If the library doesn't have it on the shelf, ask if they can get from another library. Egg Money Quilts is about quilts from the 30's. If you would like to watch videos of her series Egg Money Quilts, go to Quilt in a Day, Media Theater and scroll down the list and you will find it. Traditional patterns in 30's repo fabrics and step by step instructions. Good Luck!

how about a basket quilt? They come across very vintage to me.

I would use them with white or muslin fabric. My favorite quilt from my childhood is a 4 patch.... squares paired with muslin. Let us know what you decide on:)

Search online for 30's quilts - there are some wonderful samplers. I've got some 30's reproduction fabrics that I want to use too.

This is one of my favorites.

Log cabin or Dresden plate.

You can watch the videos for all the blocks in Eleanor Burns' Egg Money Quilts book for free on line at www.quiltinaday.com That might get the creative juices flowing.
