The very first quilt show I went with my husband. In a somewhat loud voice while looking at a quilt that won a ribbon he said "look her points dont match up either". So since then I stand 3 ft back and if it looks good to me thats all that matters. The quilt police are not permitted in my house. I had a relative bring that to my attention while looking at one of my quilts yet she asked me to make a quilt for her daughters wedding, go figure. I did not make it for her.

If you can't notice it at a glance 10 foot away, it's perfect. lol
|
I think it looks great! If you don't tell, they will never know you had to get that seam ripper out.
|
Gee I'm sure you're the only person to dull a seam ripper on the whole planet! lol :D:D
Love the blocks!!! |
I let go of perfect when I'm darn good and ready to. I find that comes earlier with each quilt!

I quit counting the times I had to rip on this baby quilt I am working on right now. Finally got it sandwiched and started quilting and my machine decided to act up. I am now taking out all the quilting I had in because I am using white thread on the top and deep rose on the back and guess what is showing on the back.

I very rarely rip seams out, done is better than perfect to me. :) I don't make quilts for anyone that won't love them no matter their imperfections.
Cheers! Rachel |
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, it that sweet with the faces.
People look at things as a whole, don't stress so much. Perfect is overrated. Done is the best |
Mistakes add character to the quilt. That's my story and I'm sticking with it.
|
Strive for perfection, settle for greatness. I think your blocks are great. Therefore objective achieved.
