I'm glad he is learning to quilt, sucess at it may be a way for him to deal with some of the other things. Busy is my choice when things don't go well. Good luck to him.

This makes me misty. God Bless you and him.

What a wonderful idea; he must really trust and love you to decide to have you help him with this. Hope it turns out to be a great experience for both of you. Donna

Wow! That is just fabulous! You can help someone you love and another quilter is born. Prayers to your nephew with his ptsd.

This brought tears to my eyes! You are blessed that your nephew trusts you enough to ask for your help and he is blessed because you accepted his request.
He has a goal, and the tools to reach it, plus a wonderful mentor! |
That is so cool! You two have fun!!!!

Tears in my eyes as I read this!!! Quilting has been my therapy through some hard times - my son's two deployments to Iraq especially. I pray that it will bring peace and calm to your nephew. What a blessing you will be to him!!

As a nurse working in the VA system. Please make sure he is getting treatment for the PTSD. It is just a horrible disease. Hope he enjoys quilting.

Thumbs up to you! I think that sewing for all of us can be a refuge in times of stress, a place to have our minds be quiet and at the same time produce memories and art. Your story brought tears to my eyes.
