Thank you everyone for your very nice comments! This quilt is turning out to be my husband's favorite and it looks like it will be making its way to our bed after it is quilted.

Thank You for letting all of us know that even if the manufacturers mess up the kit a good quilter can make lemonade out of lemons.

its beautiful but I like yours better

SO glad hubby likes it. My hubby picked one out a few weeks ago and he said it's the best one I made. Not.....He is so bad. He chose one that I machine quilted and had longarmed. I think he likes the tightness of the quilt and still soft . He keeps his by his recliner, his blood thinners keep him cold, and he makes use of it. Tickles me.

They put the wrong instructions in your package. LOL

I like to buy kits from connecting thread when they are on sale at 40% or 50%, but no less than. I figure I get the fabrics on sale and a free pattern. If I don't follow the pattern that's okay too.
Oh and I like your pattern very much. |
I like the direction you went! That was really creative of you - with beautiful results!

I don't like kits, leaves no margin for error at all. You are lucky if it all works out. They are pretty pricy and if you are not a prefect quilter, you might have to start all over. I can make most anything work, but not the kits.
Yours turned out prettier than the orig. pattern, sometimes we have to do our own thing, that is for sure. |
