This is why I do not like kits. I always get a light bulb idea in the middle of what I am doing and change something anyway. I start following my pattern and then think " oh, this would look great" so you know what happens next.

It doesn't matter how you use the kit. It shows that you have a creative side and wanted your quilt to express your individuality. Jeanniebelle

I agree, yours is better. Very pretty.

How did that happen? Did you have instructions that were hard to understand, therefore making what you could? I really like your quilt. Did a great job. I have trouble following instr. and I have a feeling mine wouldn't turn out like the picture either. That's one reason why I hate to try something difficult. I have only done 3 quilts and am on #4.
You're pleased with your quilt I hope? |
What a great solution to the "challenge" of not enough fabric....great job!
|
How does that happen???

I love the quilt you made and the colors!

Your's is better. The one one the pattern looks like just what it is, made to be on a cover. Your's look like a realistic quilt to be used on a bed. Good job! You improved it immenssely!!

I do find the kits skimpy on fabric. The only plus I find is that the fabrics coordinate so well!
