Sorry I can not help you out of your situation, but the bees in the underwear really made me laugh ...and laugh.

Starch will help draw some of the blocks tighter. if some are so belled ballooned you can do tight stipple to draw the fabrics. use the steam iron just steam the snot out of it. It has helped me at times. Just dont hit the fabric with the iron. I have found that you can tighten up a backing fabric on the longarm doing that technic too. I surehope this helps you.

Eddie..I have had a few of those myself...I understand your frustration....and the thing is once the quilt goes to the long armer...it becomes the long-armers responsibility to make it lay straight....quilt all the bad stuff out and have no puckers or pleats..... I had one last month from a a local new quilter and she knew when she handed it to me..and I think we were all surprised I was able to get to lay flat....and quilt all the bad stuff out...proud moment for me.

Oh goodness, I have an old quilt (vintage is to nice a word) that my grandmother made. I think I'll just hand quilt. Kinda feel like it deserves it, but now I'm afraid to put it on the longarm. Besides, I have a feeling that the longarm will destroy it. It's in really bad shape, holes and all. Please show us your quilt when it's done. I may need the encouragement!
