i wouldn't pay $5 for a quilt raffle but i have given $60 for tickets for a stunning raffle quilt when it was priced at 6 for $5.

i think you would do better to price fair and have people buy more to increase their chances of winning.

For five bucks to a good cause, what the heck. You win, you give it away to somebody.

It may very well be a good cause, but if she tries to sell tickets to a raffle quilt up here in New England with proceeds going to a Virginia university project that no one has heard of, she won't do well at all...let alone at $5 per ticket. Makes much more sense to hold the raffle at the school, imho. Let them worry about the price of tickets and the whole legal end of it as well.

Yes, I would pay $5 for a ticket, but I think you would be better to charge $1/ticket; 6 for $5. You would sell more tickets and make more money. The only thing would be that the chances of winning might be skewed but I don't think anyone would care.

I would pay more if I believe in the cause the donation would be going to. Sorry an single person mission trip I would not want to pay $5.oo. a group maybe.

I would pay $5 a ticket but I'm a quilter. Many people would think that $5 a ticket is too high. I like the idea of 2 for $5.

When the two Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer quilts that I made were raffled off, the tickets were $5.00 each or five for $20.00. They sold a lot of the $20.00 tickets, so much so that the first year they made over $1,000 and the second year was close to $2,000. I was pretty darn proud of that! So, when the quilt is displayed and people see it, they realize the $5.00 or $20.00 is going for a good cause and the amount is not too high. I think it works out perfectly. Even after making it, we bought a $20.00 raffle ticket. Edie
