I do....I've bought exactly how much I need and then cut it wrong and can't get more of the same and have to start all over again. Lesson learned the hard way.

i'm guilty and paying for it now. we have to downsize for health reasons. never knew before the fabric sprouted like weeds. some of it i don't even rembember buying. having a garage sale friday and hope some weed eater comes in and wacks it all out of here.

Yep, I just purchased 13 yards of a southwest fabric, and I only think I need about 6 yards to make a lap quilt for my mother in law. I'm fussy cutting.

I aways buy a bit extra.

If I like the fabric I will. Sometimes buy without a project in mind cause I like the fabric. lol.

I do, never know if you can find certain fabrics for a pattern so I always get over the amount in case.

Isn't that a rule? LOL

You GO girl! I wish I had 'peered' back at my DH. If you need something to say, repeat after me:

#1: it LEGAL. No police wanting to arrest you for your 'stash'
#2: Its cheaper than a private investigator or therapy. My DH knows where I am when he is out of town...and he WORKS out of town!
#3: Making them yourself is ALOT cheaper than paying someone else to make them for you.

I think #2 is my favorite. When I told my DH that (when I had my sewing room torn up pre- long arm), his eyes got REALLY wide! too funny!

Sounds like me. My stash really started in the late 80's when a favorite shop went out of business. All good quality and a great comfort when I look at todays prices.

I always buy extra... especially if it's something I love!
