As long as your angles add up to 360 degrees you can use any ruler you like. I like the 60/30 on my standard ruler wich gives me 6 wedges @60 degrees each.

I ordered the Judy Niemeyer tree skirt pattern, I haven't had time to start it though. It's paper peiced, 60 x 60. That one will take some time to peice! I do love it though. So did DH.

I'm making a new tree skirt this year. Last year I gave my tree skirt away to my daughter and I didn't get one made. I didn't know what I wanted to make because you know it's got to last me another 10 years. There are a bunch of links here for tree-skirt tutorials.

I plan to make the French Braid tree skirt called "Starry Christmas". I have collected the fabric and purchased the
June Taylor shape cut ruler. Maybe I will get it started in July.........or maybe not! Thank you......this board keeps me inspired.

There's a tree skirt pattern on the moda bake shop site. It's called Half Baked or something like that. That's probably the one I'll use when I make one.

edit-it's called fruitcake under my tree. NO idea where I got half baked. Here's the link:
