I know there are many people who will not use them and not allow them to be used. I make mine to be used and loved.

For those of you that use your quilts, what kind of batting do you use. I have two made from tricot (nylon) and they have thin batting in (I assume cotton). One was made many years ago by my great grandmother, and one 26 years ago by my aunt for our wedding. I live in Utah, and it can get quite chilly here, so I just wondered what some of you other quilters use. Thanks |

I LOVE to see a quilt with worn edges! Much better than one stored in a closet. It's cool when onie of my sons mention that their quilt is getting worn and they'd like to get on the list for a new one! I put a brand new one on our bed 5 years ago, and have used it almost exclusively since then. It has been washed, used, and starting to wear now.

Sara, that is so sweet. You are lucky!

We use them and as long as I have working hands and feet if they wear out I will make another one. Any excuse. (seems like a good one.. oh darn its worn out.. time to make more...)
