I treat my fabric with the Bubblejetset....and use a Canon printer (not laser) I WAS SUPER HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS.......BUT....I made quilts for some twin girls and the Mom mentioned that the labels (after normal washings) who were 1 on July1st) that she can't tell which quilt is whose.....I was SOOOOOOOOOOOO disappointed as I have used this method for quite a few years for all my quilts, including Care Quilts....
So for the last few quilts I've made I have hand embroidered a basic heart label with just the maker & who it is for & the date....no stories...no pictures....

I get my pretreated sheets from Joann.com. I get emails from them and wait for the 50% off a single item to buy them. Cost me about $10 for a packet of 6 (that includes shipping).

WOW, as usual all of you are mind readers!

I finally figured out how to print labels ironing a piece of freezer
paper to the fabric. I printed it out and embroidered the words.
Once the embroidery was completed, I laundered the labels. Yes,
the color of the ink all came out.

I just knew there was a better way!

    Thanks!
