A problem with Frixion pens?

I'm not really convinced they do. I marked a bunch of puzzle pieces on the last quilt I made and one wash with synthrapol in cold water and every hint of all of those marks came out. Personally I'm not going to worry that they might leave something behind after seeing them completely wash out in cold water. I marked some of those lines heavily (went over them 3-4 times) and even those were completely gone. Maybe it has to do with the detergent used, I don't know, but synthrapol is my first choice since it will keep any bleeding fabric dyes suspended in the wash water.

How about before you use these pens on a project, you tested them on that particular fabric scrap. Since not all cottons and dyes are created equal it would stand to reason that they might react differently. Even pens you have used on one project may not work on a different one.
