worked on cutting out a tree and my log pile today I am going to add a stump under the saw
and put a sun with a mirror in it at the top! not sure yet how to do the mirror maybe a large circle gathered at the edge that the mirror fits into. stitching it down before gathering the edge if you can understand what I mean. any other ideas I bought some plastic mirror that I can cut with heavy scissors and it is pretty clear as far as a mirror goes. Thanks everyone for the kind comments.

LOL this is not really looking like I wanted it to but then I never have done any applique before so it is a wing and a promise! I think it will be a wall hanging . Talked to my DDIL tonight and she said her husband (my son) was disappointed she chose nautical for his room instead of Orange stihl colors! I think this will be a hit with him anyway it turns out! A few more things to sew on then I will post a picture. maybe if it is viewed from a horse going at a fast gallop it will look ok.

Ugg not turning out how I had hoped but then I have never done anything like this so it is kinda sloppy. But it is still kind of cute! I think it will be a wall hanging.

Thanks Lynnie I am thinking I should have skipped the crinkle in the tree it looks puckered a bit but maybe it I figure out how I am going to quilt it I can smooth it out. I may just tie it, I need to press it too as the sun does have more points!
