Amen to the many pattern pieces. My 2 quilting buddies got together and we each made one. I am glad I made it, but I won't make another one. Quite a long process.

I've made this same pattern twice before. Looks great when its done. Have used the Pellon heavy fusible weight (craft or lamp shade I think it says) from JoAnn's. One was a xmas gift, the other for myself - washed without problems from the Pellon, but the handle got wound around the agitaor and had to be cut to be removed!

For the bottom of the professional bag, I used an old clip board that I cut to fit, then sanded off the edges to make it smooth and to round the corners a bit so they didn't poke through. It is very nice and sturdy, but it probably wouldn't do well in the washer.
