Have you ever made something and everything you do goes wrong? I'm making a purse and I'm having a awful time with it. First off I embroider it and cut the pattern out from it (it's upside down, but it still looks okay) second thing is it's suppose to be made of fat quarters. I had some that I wanted to use, well they are fat quarters but going the whole width of the material, so I have had to piece some parts. Now my sewing machine is doing strange things, when I try to sew it wants to eat my material. I just had the machine in for a tuneup so it should work. I just gave up for the day and maybe will try to figure out what is wrong with it.

You're in the same boat I am right now. I'm making a purse and a wallet for a woman's daughter at the office. Both things I have made several times before, and this time it's taking me FOREVER and I keep messing up. I keep taking breaks but it's not helping!

Yesterday I wanted to make a test block for a pattern I fell in love with in an Irish quilting magazine I had just bought. There were 9 seperate parts to the block, and after sewing two parts were not coming out to correct measurements. Was sure I was doing everything right, and was positive this magazine had incorrect measurements. So I went to my EQ5 and designed the quilt on there to check the measurements. Measurements were right!!! It was me!! I shut the doors to the sewing room and gave up for the day. Went back in today, started over, and it was all coming out perfect!!! Sometimes you just have to walk away!

Give youself a day off and then go back to it. Sometimes that all it takes.

Well today is going better for me. As for my sewing machine I must have had a duh day, I have't use this one machine for a few years and I had it threaded wrong causing it to not sew. Now that it is threaded right it is working fine.
