Project Linus Question
Can you quilt up a panel for Project Linus? It would be about 40 x 40.
I read through the instructions on the website for our area and all it says is "Pick any pattern you like" but it doesn't say anything about panels. I think it should be OK, but want to be sure before I do it and I thought people here would know rather than bothering the co-ordinator.
Thanks, Watson

Yes, Project Linus quilts can be made from panels. I make about 50 to 100 Project Linus quilts each year for donation, and the "SusyBee" panels are my favorite to use but I also piece quilts....many of them have been posted to this board. Thank you for making a quilt for Project Linus.

I enjoy sewing for PL because of the fact that most anything is acceptable. My chapter gives to preemies thru 18[yr. olds so any size, any color, etc. works for someone. I was told that hospitalized children often prefer a smaller quilt since they use it on the bed over hospital bedding. I like to think that colorful quilts brighten up someone's day--and even the day of hospital staff.

Thank you for posting a link to my Project Linus Quilts to show to Watson. Now that the weather is warming up I can get back out on the three season porch where my quilting frame resides. Time to get busy again!!
