Thanks, Alex. Alittle bit further for me, maybe I was wishful thinking it was Chicago. Peoria is a beautiful area though!

The Nickle Book is worth reading or getting it.
It's a great informative book with different block patterns made up with 5 inch charms.
I believe there are three books in the series Nickle Quilts. Its a great resource for scrap quilts since the 5 inch squares are all cut down into smaller pieces. In my area many groups started swapping "nickels" right after her first book came out.

I know I have made several of her patterns and her book is fantastic. And I am going to be there the whole time. This is my third year going. There are always more speakers but her name grabbed me first.

I bet I can sneak you in my room for a night. LOL. I wish it was still at the Doubletree Inn, they kept us in warm cookies . Yummers.

Thank you. I posted it in pictures already but just love it. Knittykitty and I hope Joanieu will be on the trip with me. WE'll see. Me and Judy for sure. We'll talk as it gets closer. It's fun. WE have the main meeting and then on saturday, they have a large room and you can go booth to booth and learn quick techniques. Even make jewelry with PL things on them. Two years ago we had Cathy miller, singing quilter there. Maybe this year too. Mark , owner of Handyquilter is always there with his machines and wonderful free Handyquitler bags. It's all fun.

Just went into the blog I posted on page one, and am excited to see Jennifer Chiaverini is the friday night speaker. I love her books. Ands she has a new one where she brings Projcet Linus into her book. How fun. Still waiting on more speakers to sign up.
