Purple charm chain letter
#1
I have just become the lucky recipient of a chain letter with fabric in it. Remember chain letters? Well this one has two 6" purple squares in it. You have to copy the letter and add your name and send it on to 4 more people. My problem is that I have received more than 1 of these and have run out of names to send it to. The ladies in my little group are sending to the same names over again.
So anybody want to play? It's not too hard and the squares are all gorgeous so far. Just pm me your mailing address if you want in and I will put you in the mix. With just one letter you can receive up to 72 squares!

I would do it but these never work for me. Seems like I never receive any squares back.

Here are 2 items I found by doing a Google. It used to be said "do not take part in ANY chain letter." Now here is some advice from 2 sources. In all my 75 years I have never seen a chain that was not unbroken. No one ever got what they hoped to get. The P.O. made money off the postage and the sender gave up something, but often wound up with nothing. I don't think times have changed that much.

I have participated in many chain letters over the years. I NEVER got what I was supposed to. I avoid them now.

I got that same letter a few weeks ago. I couldn't wait to get my squares in the mail. I think someone may have broken the chain because I've only gotten squares from a couple of people so far.

In theory it would be a lot of fun!!! But I think I would only join if I knew all of the participants.

I would probably do it if the people on here did something. I just don't want to waste my time if people aren't going to follow through.

Why not do it as a swap and have member sign up. that would keep it legal and you would know who was participating. You seem to have several interest already.
