    Oh, so many good ideas, I am going to try the starching the backing first, than spray and attach the batting, then spray and attach the top. then I am going to pin the corners, and start quilting from the center. Thanks girls, I have a big show coming up Labor day weekend and need to get a lot done.

    I pull the backing real taut and tape it down with painter's tape. Then I pat the batting down to smooth it out - usually working in quarters. I repeat the same with the top and pin hand-width apart. After it is pinned, I turn it over to verify that there are no puckers.

    I love basting spray. It goes together so much faster so it's easier on my knees.
